Sunday Morning Card

It's quite unusual for us to have a free weekend so I took advantage of this time and created a card!

I recently found this Tim Holtz stamp set including the dies and an embossing folder at Michaels and I was able to use my coupon so it was a great deal! I wanted some of the Crazy Dogs but not all of them so this set is perfect for me!

I paired the set with one of my favourite new releases form Your Next Stamp called 

WhatNot Sentiments 11. I started by stamping the image with YNS Black Olive Ink onto Distress Watercolor Paper and then colouring the images with Zig Clean Color Markers.

I also used the Stitched Rectangle Dies and the Summer Plaid on my project.

I stamped the background in Black Olive premium ink and then coloured the image using Copic markers.

YNS Feature Day!

Good Morning and Welcome to our February Feature Day!

This months the Design Team will be featuring the theme around:

WINTER WARM UP!

Thinking of one of my favourite stamp sets from YNS I knew it would be great for this theme!

It is called

Hot Cocoa Phoebe!

I stamped Phoebe with Black Olive Ink onto Distress watercolor paper and then used my Zig Clean Color markers to colour her in! I then heat embossed the saying onto black cardstock and layered everything onto some plaid papers from the 

Winter Plaid Paper Pack.

MFT Colour Challenge

Good Morning!

Today I made a card to enter into the MFT Color Challenge.

This themes colours have pink, grey and black!

This is one of my newest stamp sets called BB New Best Friends. This set spoke to me because we had just lost our yellow Lab to cancer when it was released. I just love these little images and sayings!

Happy Valentines Day!

Happy Valentine's Everyone!

Today I am sharing a card I made for my husband for Valentines! I don't make a lot of Valentines cards, just for him and my two daughters so I wanted to make it a bit special....

I LOVED this stamp set from Neat & Tangled from their last release and I knw that it would be this years card for my hubby!

I stamped the Koala in Memento ink on Tim Holtz Distress Watercolor paper. Then I watercoloured it with my Zig Clean Color markers. The paper and heart embellishments are Martha Stewart and I managed to snag those at Dollarama!

All about the Layers at YNS!

Here at YNS we are challenged each month to create something new using a specific theme!

For the month of  FEBRUARY our Design Team Dare is: Layer It Up!

I fell in love with the new Stamp set called Spring Treats from this months release and decided to use this little bunny and do some layering!

I stamped the images using the Black Olive Ink from YNS and coloured them in with Copic Markers. I then cut out layers using our Stitched Rectangle Dies. These dies are definitely one of my GO TO items and probably my favourite die that I use!

Then I finished everything off with some sparkly gumdrops!
