December Designer Showcase

Good Morning and Welcome to the Your Next Stamp December Designer Showcase!
We have Twelve wonderful days filled with Projects to share with you!

Today is Day Eight and MY day to show you what I have been working on!

My daughter was a BIG surprise.....born on Christmas Eve, weighing just 3 pounds and arriving 8 weeks early! So, every Christmas Eve we have a huge party for her Birthday!
Believe it or not she will be 15 this year and I wanted to make some Holiday
coloured Birthday favours for her party.

Here is what I came up with!
A Little Treat Bag with a Gift Card Tucked in the back!

I used the adorable stamp set called Birthday Phoebe, the Cute Little Shopping Bag Die
and some of my favourite Winter Plaid paper.

And here is how I created them!
I started off my choosing some cardstock, the Cute Little Shopping Bag Die,
Plaid paper and the Phoebe stamp set.
I then cut out two piece of cardstock (per bag) using the die and folded them on the creases.
Then I adhered some doubled sided heavy tape to the three edges of the die and assembled the little bags.
Next, I stamped the Phoebe on colouring paper and the little hats out on cardstock.
I coloured the images with Copic markers.
Then I cut everything, adhered the hats on and cut some patterned paper from
the Winter Plaid paper.
I bought some green and red gummies and placed them in clear bags and tied them with ribbon.
Then I assembled everything together!
And here is the final project!
I also tucked in a coffee shop gift card in the back!

Hope you enjoyed my tutorial today and taking the time to look!

National Tea Day!

Its National Tea Day and to celebrate I have made a tea card for the
Coffee Loving Cardmakers Blog Hop!
I distressed the background with Distress Inks and cut out the teapot and cup using dies from Lea'bilities and used a sentiment from an older Your Next Stamp set called Noteworthy.

Keep warm on this cold day and have a cup of tea!

ZIG Clean Color Card

Since it is a snowy and COLD day here in Ontario I decided to play a bit with my Zig Clean Color Markers and create this Christmas Card with a new stamp set I got.
The set is by Stampendous! and although I really did not like how it stamped, I used my Misti Tool and managed to finally get a crisp image. I coloured the images with Zig markers and layered it on papers by Close To My Heart.

Thanks for looking!

Painting on vellum card

Here's another card I made for this Christmas season!
I took inspiration from a video made by Nina-Marie Trapani where she used a Tim Holtz
Stencil, Zig Clean Color Markers and some metallic watercolour paints to paint on vellum.

It was so much fun to create this and I will definitely be doing more of this technique!

Having Fun with Distressing!

I love to make all sorts of different and fun Christmas cards and here is an example of one of these!
I used my new Zig Clean Color Markers to colour the poinsettias that I had stamped and heat embossed in Ranger embossing powder. (The stamp is a Heartfelt Creation stamp)
Then I used Distress ink and stain to do the background and more Zig.

Enjoy!

More Christmas Cards!

Here's another look at some of the other cards I have been working on for this Holiday Season!
This a stamp set by Your Next Stamp called: Snow Much Joy!
I cut him out with the matching dies and coloured him with Copic markers.

Holiday Wishes!
