Baby Shadow Box Gift

I attended a shower for my cousins wife yesterday and had a really good time!

I wanted to make them something special because this is their first baby, so I made a shadow box frame to display a first baby picture!

I went shopping and it was HARD to shop because we do not know the sex of the baby...so I had to stay neutral. Although they do have grey and white things on the registry so I started there....

I bought this beautiful shadow box at Walmart and then made a layout based on the interior size of the frame. Here's and interior view:

I started with a background chevron paper from DCWV and layered strips of cardstock and patterned papers (ctmh, doodlebug) and then intertwined a doily, some buttons, a title rectangle from Heidi Swapp and some gumdrops from Your Next Stamp. I also did some faux stitch stamping with an old stamp set from CTMH.

This was a fun project to create! You can customize it for any occasion and I'm sure someone would appreciate receiving it! (I know I would have loved it if someone made me one for my baby!)

Little Tangles Blog Challenge

I am attending a shower this weekend and it was a perfect time to use my

Itty Bitty Welcoming Committee Stamp by Neat and Tangled!

I have used this stamp quite a bit and it has easily become one of my favourite stamps to watercolour!

I used my Zig Clean Color markers to colour the image I stamped on Distress Watercolor paper. I added it to this chevron paper and  then added a organza ribbon from my stash.

April Feature Day at YNS!

Today is a great day at YNS because it is Feature Day!

We are inspired by anything and everything!

This months theme is Little Ones- Babies or Little Creations!

For my Feature Day post I used a brand new stamp set called : Aquarium Antics
Can I tell you HOW much I LOVE this set? I have been using it for everything but it is SO cute!!

I paired the stamps with the matching dies  and made some little note cards. I also used the new Reverse Scallop Peek A Boo Die.

Wednesday Challenge at Kraftin Kimmie Stamps!

Today I am joining in on a Wednesday challenge over at Kraftin Kimmie Stamps!

I had bought this really cute stamp at Scrapfest a couple of weeks ago called: Puddle Pals and it is perfect for a pick me up card! 

I started by embossing the Fox image on Distress watercolour paper in black and then using my Zig Clean Color markers. Then I assembled the card based on this months sketch.

Watercolour Card- Neat and Tangled

Here is my latest card for the Little Tangles Challenge......the theme is watercolour!

I used the stamp set called My Favorite Nut by Neat and Tangled

and watercoloured the little squirrels!

I added it onto some patterned papers from CTMH and then finished it off with some burlap ribbon.

This month I just used both the colour and sketches because I loved the colour combinations and the layout of the sketch!

I layered papers on top of the orange cardstock and stamped the image in YNS Black Olive Ink. Then I coloured the fish with Copics and stamped the cute sentiment.

Book Inspiration at YNS

Here at YNS we are challenged each month to create something new using a specific theme!
