August Feature Day!

Today is an AWESOME day at YNS because it is Feature Day!

We are inspired by anything and everything!
This month is For The Kids!!

For my Feature Day post I used one of the
newest stamps called: Jessica's Puppy

I cut out the background using our Stitched Square Dies and the fence using the Stitched Heart Fence.

Sketch and Colour Challenge today at YNS!

 I used the new stamp set called Whatnot Sentiments Seven, our new paper pack called Swirly Fun and this awesome die called: Circle Panel Die. I finished everything off with some Magical Pastel Sparkly Gumdrops!

Happy Birthday YNS!!

Good Morning Everyone!

Your Next Stamp is celebrating our Birthday Month of August with a special blog post series.

We had to create a project worthy of a celebration!

My project for today is a chocolate box...because lets face it,

everyone LOVEs to receive a little treat box!

I started out by gathering all my supplies...cardstock, Birthday Chickie Stamp Set, our NEW Paper Pack called Swirly Fun, and of course some chocolate!

I scored and cut the box out and covered my chocolates with the fun coloured papers. Then embossed another sheet of cardstock and adhered it to the outside and inside of the box.

Then I stamped the Birthday Wishes and little chickie out. I stamped another chick and then cut him out using one of the little dies that match this stamp set!

Lastly, I added some ribbon and coloured everything using my Copic markers.

When assembling it, I alternated the coloured chocolates and added two more Chicks to the inside of the box!

A special Thank you!

Friends of ours at the cottage kindly gave us a Paddle Boat and I wanted to make them a special thank you card for their generosity.

Similar to the last card I made for my parents Anniversary, here I used the Simon Says Stamp Heart die and watercoloured the background. I am loving this combination and can see using this die and watercolours a lot! I splattered the watercolours using Rangers Distress Spray and finished it off  with a Thank You banner.

So, if someone is kind to you make them a homemade card...I'm am sure they will appreciate it and the time it took to make!

YNS Feature Day!

It has been a Fabulous week at YNS because it is YNS' 7th Birthday!
I'm sure you have enjoyed seeing all the amazing releases this past week and we are continuing the party by having a Feature Day!
This month the theme is......Celebration!!!

For my Feature Day post I used a new stamp called Birthday Chickie, paired it with the matching dies and made a shaker card with the stitched rectangle dies!!

Happy Anniversary Mom and Dad!

Today I am showcasing a card I made for my Mom and Dad's Anniversary!

I recently bought this Heart die from Simon Says Stamp in the States and I have to say I LOVE it!

It cuts very cleanly and is a beautiful die.

For this card I watercoloured the background using CTMH Watercolour paints and added some splatters from a Ranger Distress Spray. Then I embossed the words onto vellum using embossing powder from CTMH.
