Mixed Media Project

Thought I would work on something different today...a mixed media project! After being inspired by the likes of Tim Holtz and Vicki Boutin the thought of a piece for the cottage sounded like something fun!

I started with a 10 x 30 canvas from Currys and used Tim Holtz Distress stain on it. Then I covered it with papers, used acrylic paints, stamps, ColorBox Ink and graphite pencil. The saying I got from the Silhouette Site and I cut it out on cardstock.

YNS Fun Friday Challenge!

One of my favourite stamp company's is from here in Canada and they have a wondeful selection of cute stamps and dies. Here is my card for their latest Challenge for April.

I used papers from DCWV, card stock from CTMH and S/U, flowers from Prima and dots from CTMH. The stamp is from Your Next Stamp and its is called: Thankful for you Fhiona # FF008 and I coloured her with Copic markers.

Challenge #207- Use Metal

Have you ever used metal on your cards? Well, here is your chance to do so! At Meljens this week we are having a new challenge where you have to use metal on a card!

For this card I used cardstock, paper, brads, ribbon slide and embossing folder from CTMH, sticker from Sophisticates, and coloured the image with Copics.

I used the image called: Happy Little Vase

DT Day with Sue

It is my Design Team Day at Meljens today and I decided to share with you a neat card I made for a friend. These cards are the newest craze and it was really fun to make!

I used cardstock from CTMH and paper from DCWV, and used my Silhouette to cut out the images, shapes and card.

For this baby image I actually used a pre-coloured image called: Pick Me Up

These precoloured images are wonderful to use if you are short on time!

Challenge #205- Sequins Colour

HI Everyone! Exciting day today, we have a new challenge over at Meljen Designs! 

Based on the following sequins colour palette!

 

Here is what I came up with for these colours!

 

I decided to stay in the Easter theme and created this chick card with the Meljens image called: Spring Chick

Papers are from Heidi Grace, I used my Silhouette to cut out the image and the circle, Washi tape from CTMH, sequins and ribbon from my stash, and I coloured the image with Copics.
