I just got my own organizer and you should see all the stuff I could fit in it! This will be perfect for keeping things in one place and when we go away to crops.

Another Project!

I got it in my head that I was going to decorate...yet again! (Much to the chagrin of my husband!) This time was my Diningroom. As some of you may know I also paint- and in 2002 I painted a border around my diningroom- It was time for this to go!
The border is no longer there, the furniture is now a different colour, with new material for the seat cushions and new drapes!

Great First Club!

Tonight started the newest season if my Clubs!

I have ONE spot only for a Club Membership on Thursday nights and Wednesdays are FULL.

Starting next month, Card Club will be cancelled due to membership. If you are interested in coming out to Club please let me know! If you are looking for a new way to spend time with friends I am open to new ideas and we can certainly form a new Club with a minimum of 6 members. Even during the day is fine!

 I used a great stamp from High Hopes and another by Whimsy Stamps with the matching die! I coloured the image using Copics and Prismacolors and my Spellbinders for the circle.

Retiring Stuff

Hi Guys,
I have so much information coming regarding the updates to CTMH but here are a few important things....

We are going to a 40 colour pallette and some of these are the 6 news colours! That means that there is a whole bunch retiring!!!!!
I know this is shocking but this means that after Aug 31st you will NO LONGER be able to order products in those colours.

SO, I suggest looking at your stuff and determine if you need anything (IE- reinker, cardstock) and place your order with me by Monday.

"Toad"ally Isla!

Fun Layout of my crazy dog- Isla!

I created this layout of my yellow Labrador Retreiver who started jumping around on our beach at the cottage........I finally realized that she was playing with a huge Toad! 

 What a character!

I used my favourite "CoOrdinations" dotted cardstock, Copics, and a great stamp by Kraftin Kimmie.

Pretty Flower Card

This is a new stamp I got from Stamping Bella- Flower Garden. I had fun embossing it and rubbing the image with inks. It creates a watercolour effect.

Sympathy Card

Its seems like I have been making a lot of these lately........but here is a nice design I adapted from a fellow CTMH person. I loved how she offset the image so I did the same!

Preserving Memories Thoughts

The older I get the more I think that preserving our memories for future generations is really important. I am one of the lucky ones..... between my husband and I we still have four Grandparents alive!
My Grandfather recently went into a home and and it is really hard to think that in the upcoming years....it is inevitable that we wont have them anymore. That means that all the stories and information goes with them.....
SO, its important to journal and take the pictures.Someone said that by scrapbooking you really are preserving the memories for one, maybe two generations - but to me those generations are the most important! My children and their children will maybe get enjoyment out of my work and that's all that matters!
Who knows...maybe I'm the "first" in a LONG line of scrapbookers who will preserve memories for multiple generations!

Watercolour Sunflower

I had fun last night playing with this new stamp set from CTMH. I used my watercolour pencils and Blending pen. The cut out I did on my Spellbinders Grand Calibur- Blossom Four.

Card Creations on the Weekend!

We had great weather on the weekend at the cottage but when the sun went down (and the black flys came out!) I retreated to my space to create.
Here are some of the cards I had fun doing!

This card was fun to make! The stamp set is by Art Impressions and is meant for a gift card! What a great idea and fun and paper piecing makes it look great!

I was trying out my new Spellbinders Grand Calibur and this is what I came up with! I embossed the card portion and stamped on the cut out piece.

This last card is stamped using a  Impression Obsession stamp. Then I used my Copics and Prismacolor pencils to colour!

Great Crop!

On Saturday I held another Crop! I had a great time meeting some new people and hanging out with friends. Thank you all for coming!

Scrapfest was Great!

On the weekend I attended Scrapfest with some wonderful friends! I did a class with Vicki Boutin on Friday and one with Cathie Allan on Saturday....Shopped, Shopped and Shopped again....finished 2 3/4 layouts (yes, I am embarrassed at the amount thank you!) .....and two cards!

All in all I had a load of fun especially dressing up in tropical wear and being silly!

Can't wait until next time!

A Proud Mom!

I just had to share with you my Easter card from my daughter who is 10. She asked to borrow some stamps and disappeared to her studio in the basement.....and on Easter morning she presented us with this!

I am a proud Mom indeed!

This Weekend...

I am very excited about going away this weekend with some great friends! A Scrapbooking weekend of course! We are off to Scrapfest Kitchener and it is my first time attending this weekend event. I hear it is well worth the drive and there is bound to be some great scrapping deals!
I just went and printed my pictures of our vacation, Easter etc.......$75.00 later! But, who can put a price on happiness?!

Pictures "Outside the Box"

Have you ever seen someone's pictures and thought "Wow, I need to do that!" ?
At my last Crop I was inspired by a Cropper who wrote in the sand and took a picture of it! What a great idea and I actually did this on my most recent vacation!
While taking a picture of the sand I saw a lot of really neat things through the eyes of my lense. Here is a picture of the sea shells on Indian Rocks Beach. I think I will blow it up to 12 x 12 and use it as a background page.

So, next time you are taking pictures think of something fun and different!

New Easter Cards

Here are my newest creations!

 This one I used the cutest stamp set from Close to My Heart! Its called My Peeps ( B1402)   My sister always calls my two Girls her "Peeps"! So of course I HAD to get it!

This one I created with inspirations from a sample I saw in a local scrapbooking store. I used my Cricut, a Martha Stewart punch and an older CTMH stamp set called Celebrate Life ( C1287).

I have been busy today (in between shopping and cleaning!) because I need to work on my Easter cards. I am hosting a big Easter dinner next weekend and am having fun creating for it!

I can't believe it.......

I typically go no where without my camera and yesterday we had my daughter's 6th Birthday party at the movies...and I forgot the camera. TODAY, I went to post the pictures of the Crop I had taken only to find out that.......the memory card was not in the camera! Man, not a good picture taking weekend!

Not Sleeping

You know, Life is funny sometimes...you never know what direction it will take you. Its important to have great friends and people in your life who will support you no matter what. Its very sad when you think people are there but they are really out for their own self interests.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank all those who have supported me and continue to be there for me. Your friendships mean a lot.

What I did today!

It was so grey today that I decided to stay in my room and create! I used the new Stella papers from CTMH as well as the "Just for You" stamp set. I picked up some teeny tiny punches for only 45 cents so I thought I would try them out....I think they add a cute dimension to the card!

What I did yesterday!

I attended a course at Stampin Bella and made the following! WOW what a lot of work but the end result is beautiful! We used Prismacolor pencils, punches, and LOTS of glue and patience.

I made this birthday card for a friend. The stamps are hilarious and are made by Art Impressions.

I coloured it using Prismacolour pencils and Odourless Mineral Spirits. The stamp is from Stampin Bella and I used CTMH Kraft and Vineyard Berry Papers.

We FINALLY have snow! Yeah for the farmers...not so Yeah for having to shovel! (I don't know why I say that because frankly I never shovel...my hubby does it...I know, I'm spoiled!)
Anyways, I have been creating! I attended the Crop and Create in Markham this past weekend and had a wonderful time with some wonderful friends. Thanks Guys!
Here is the card I submitted for the Card Challenge...it didn't win but I am proud of it anyways and I got to play with my new Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol.

This other card is one I whipped up using supplies from our Gift bag. Sometimes its nice to just "get out of your Box" and try new things and ideas. You get stagnated doing the same thing all the time. Challenge yourself!

Valentines Card

Its not too early to start your cards!......I thought I would share with you my latest creation for Valentines Day! I used this great stamp set from CTMH called Joyful Jar B1393 (only 9.95!), Vineyard Berry cardstock, Desert Sand and Watermelon (nla) stamp pads, and Colonial white ribbon.
